Hawaii Job Corps and American Samoa Government strengthen partnership
Hawaii Job Corps and the American Samoa Government signed a Memorandum of Understanding to take a significant step forward in solidifying their partnership. The center also aims to establish a recruiting office in American Samoa to further support the young adults of the territory with education and career training opportunities. Job Corps and Home Builders Institute celebrate 49 years of partnership
For nearly half a century, Job Corps has partnered with the Home Builders Institute to provide specialized, hands-on career training programs in Building Construction Technology, Electrical, HVAC and more. Read more about the partnership’s anniversary here.
A Vision for the Future
While at the Jacksonville Job Corps Center in Florida, Alex James excelled in his HVAC career training courses and was selected for the center’s Advanced Manufacturing Production Technology program sponsored by Johnson & Johnson Vison.
Thanks to the partnership with JNJ Vision, students like Alex train with top-of-the-line robotics equipment to learn the latest skills and training standards of the manufacturing industry. JNJ Vision experts work with students to make sure they master the skills needed to join the JNJ Vision team as fully prepared entry-level employees.
For Alex, his dedication to the program and unwavering work ethic paid off and he was offered a full-time position with the company.

Opportunities for Apprenticeship Graduates
Last month, the U.S. Department of Labor announced the Apprentice Trailblazer initiative, which will create a network of apprentices and apprenticeship graduates. The program aims to foster mentorship and career development, while also providing a platform to share diverse stories and experiences.
