When someone is supported and believed in by the people around them, it can change their life and put them on a new path. This is Antonio’s story.
When he first arrived at Job Corps, Antonio struggled with the transition from foster care; but he didn’t give up, and Job Corps empowered him to use his passions to help others.
After training at the Schenck Civilian Conservation Center in Pisgah Forest, N.C., Antonio now holds his EMT and firefighting licenses and is in paramedic school.

Support and Security To Build a Path to the Future
With support from Job Corps instructors, career counselors and staff members, students can finish their high school education, complete career training, learn employability skills and work with a career counselor to find a job after graduation—all for free.
While they’re preparing for their future, students will have a safe place to sleep, nutritious meals to fuel them throughout the day and a regular allowance.
