Greetings, students.
Have you ever thought about ways that Job Corps could be better? Ways that we could improve students’ experiences? Ways that we could be more modern?
As your Job Corps National Director, and one of your biggest advocates and fans, I am happy to announce that we are moving forward with an initiative to enhance your Job Corps experience.
The Department of Labor is working with High Impact Partners (HIP) to connect with Job Corps stakeholders (students like you, Center Directors and other center staff) on topics that will help us shape the program to better meet your needs and goals.
Over the next few weeks and months, the HIP team will be reaching out to many of you to ask you to participate in various activities, including virtual focus groups and interviews. Please take advantage of this opportunity to be heard. Use your voice, and let us know what we could be doing better.
In order for Job Corps to grow, I would appreciate your honest feedback. Your role in Job Corps’ modernization is critical. No one, clearly, knows more about how to improve our program than the young men and women who experience it.
This is our opportunity to step back, assess what the Job Corps program does and then step up to meet the challenges of an ever-changing world. Help us get it right. Your voice matters, and together we will design “Job Corps 2.0.”
Thank you for your input!
